Health & Safety 


At Byrons we have reference to experts in the area of Occupational Health & Safety.

Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act & Regulations, employers have a legal responsibility to protect the health and safety of people in the workplace. This includes people who work casually, part time, full time, volunteers and members of the public who visit.

Employers must provide:

  • A safe workplace and safe ways of working
  • Equipment, machinery & tools in a safe condition
  • Safe & hygienic facilities, including toilets, eating areas and first aid 
  • Information, training and supervision to all workers 
  • A process for consulting with staff and for keeping staff informed and involved in decisions that may affect their health and safety at work.
  • Processes for identifying hazards, assessing risks and controlling risks.
